![]() ![]() Bleckley County churns out top distance talent year after year and this year is no different. Anyone who follows the sport in Georgia though is not surprised by this. They are led by a strong distance contingent that is looking to put up 40+ points in just those 3 events. He is the top seed in the 100 and 3 rd seed in the 200 so his points will be valuable when it comes to the team race.īleckley County comes in with a chance to bring home the team title right behind The Mount Vernon School. Nagari Tophia could have scored in the 100, 200 and 400 but he only ran the 100 and 200 at region. This could be a race to watch in the team battle because if Haris can upset Luke, then that would go a long way to helping The Mount Vernon School fend off Bleckley County. Haris is entered in the 800, 16 which will be a hard effort given there are 800 prelims to navigate which also happens to be his strongest event where he is projected to finish 2 nd to Luke Churchwell of Bleckley County. Christopher comes into the meet with the chance to score in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and long jump. Christopher Kartsonas and Haris Flynn will look to be the main workhorses for the team as they are both entered in 3 individual events, and I am sure on a relay. The only events they are lacking points in is the jumps and the throws. They are a well-balanced team with possible points coming from the distance, sprint, relay and hurdles events. The Mount Vernon School comes into the meet with the potential to score 70+ points and if they do that, they will be hard to beat. On paper it looks to be a very close battle between The Mount Vernon School and Bleckley County with The Mount Vernon School having the slight edge.
